L. J. Butler and Son Ltd. is an Independent Funeral Directors owned and run by the Saville family. The present owner, Graham Saville; great-grandson of the founder and recent President of the London Association of Funeral Directors for the year 1998-1999; is helped in the running of the business by his wife, Susan; President of the London Association of Funeral Directors for two years 2001- 2003; and their two sons, Adrian and Phillip.

Sue Saville is the current president of the National Association of Funeral Directors.

Both sons are holders of the prestigious ‘Harold Rivett Award’ for achieving the highest pass marks for the London Area in the National Diploma of Funeral Directing exams in their respective years of 1994 and 1998. History was made twice over as it was the first time that two brothers had received the awards and the first time the President in the chair had had the pleasure of presenting the award to his own son, Phillip.

The next generation of ‘Savilles’ is well underway, as both boys have three children each, so it is guaranteed that this long established business will remain within the family for at least the generation to come.
